So… this is one of those recipes that really isn’t a
recipe. We had some leftover steak, and no real plans for dinner other
than going out – we are lazy, so this was improvised.
Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry
- Beef – we used leftover steak
- Carrots
- Green Onions
- Rice (cooked)
- Broccoli
- onion
- Soy sauce
- Prepare broccoli and microwave in a small bit of water for 3 minutes to par-cook.
- Using a little olive oil, slice the beef (if using raw, cook until done) and saute to get a little crust going. Add broccoli, then the rest of the other vegetables and cook until your preferred level of crispness. Remove to a bowl and set aside.
- Add rice to the pan, turn the heat up to high – add more oil and some butter. Saute for 3-5 minutes – add the beef and vegetables back in, sprinkle with soy sauce, add sesame seeds if you like, and adjust seasonings. Garnish with sliced green onions.
- That’s all – easy peasy.
