Baked Chicken Thighs with Lemon and Basil

Just something I threw together, you don’t need to be a genius in the kitchen for this one.  It IS good though.  I like simple food as well as complicated food.  This chicken is really flavorful and easy to prepare and forget in the oven until you smell it!

Baked Chicken Thighs with Lemon and Basil


  • 4 Chicken Thighs (skin on)
  • 8 leaves basil (shredded)
  • 1 lemon (thinly sliced)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste.


  1. Using parchment paper, lay thighs/legs out on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Lift skin slightly and place shredded basil leaves underneath. Cover with thin slices of lemon.
  2. Bake at 375 until done, about 45 minutes or more
