BBQ Ribs

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon cumin


  1. Prepare the rub mix by mixing all of the above ingredients into a jar or a small bowl, mix or shake to combine thoroughly.
  2. Pour a generous amount over the top, bottom, and using your hands, make sure to get the sides covered as well.
  3. Place the ribs on your preheated grill, and cover, and walk away. 
  4. In one hour, check the ribs, turning them over, re-cover, then walk away.
  5. Next hour, repeat, and repeat 1 more time for a total of 4 hours.
  6. Bring inside and allow to rest for 15 minutes, cut apart and have plenty of napkins.
