Baked Apples

Ingredients
 

  • 1 apple per person
  • 1 tbsp butter per apple
  • 1 tbsp dark brown sugar per apple
  • fruit juice
  • oatmeal / granola to preference
     

Directions
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° and gather your ingredients and a heat proof oven dish.
     
  2. Core the apples. Fill insides with some dried fruits. Mix the oatmeal with brown sugar and fill the apples and spread more on the bottom if desired.
     
  3. Dot everything with a bit of butter, bake for 30-40 minutes or until a knife inserted goes in softly without resistance.

Baked Apples are an easy, hands-off dessert that is good for you as well.  The granola/oatmeal is added for a little extra crunch.  Baked Apples smell amazing also while they are baking.
