
Shrimp

Ingredients
- 1/2- 1lb shrimp, cleaned and deveined
- 3 cups napa cabbage, sliced thin
- 1/2 onion, cut into small chunks
- 2 stalks celery, sliced thin
- 2 small carrots, julienned
- Soy Sauce
- Asian 5 spice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Toasted Sesame Seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced thin diagonally
- Sesame oil
Instructions
- Clean and prep your shrimp and the rest of the ingredients so they are ready to add when you cook.
- Mix the cornstarch and 5 spice together and add to your cleaned shrimp, tossing to coat. Allow to sit for about 5 minutes.
- Heat your wok to high heat, till it begins to smoke. Pour a tiny drizzle of the oil around the outside edge and let it sink to the bottom - add the shrimp and allow to cook until a crust is formed - then begin stirring till shrimp are cooked through.
- Remove the shrimp to a small plate, add the onions, carrots, and celery, cooking long enough to soften - 4-5 minutes.
- Add your rice, and cabbage and cook about 3-4 minutes - return the shrimp to your wok. Drizzle some soy sauce around the edges and stir in - taste and adjust your seasonings.
- Serve and sprinkle some sesame seeds and green onions over the top and dig in.
