Sausage and Peppers with Pasta
Prep time: 5 Min Cook time: 20 Min Total time: 25 Min - Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb kielbasa sausage, cut diagonally
- 5 oz penne pasta
- 1/2 bell pepper, diced
- 4 oz spinach, chopped
- Parmesan cheese for topping
- 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1tsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil; add penne and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 11 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and cook and stir sausage, onion, bell pepper and mushrooms until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes. Drain the pasta and add to the skillet.
- Stir in the minced garlic, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, stir well, check for salt seasoning and serve.
Serve with: Green Salad, Garlic Bre
