Sausage and Peppers with Pasta

 

 

 

Prep time: 5 Min Cook time: 20 Min Total time: 25 Min - Serves 4

 

Ingredients

 

  • 1/2 lb kielbasa sausage, cut diagonally
  • 5 oz penne pasta
  • 1/2 bell pepper, diced
  • 4 oz spinach, chopped
  • Parmesan cheese for topping
  • 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1tsp ground black pepper

 

Instructions

 

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil; add penne and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 11 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and cook and stir sausage, onion, bell pepper and mushrooms until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes. Drain the pasta and add to the skillet.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, stir well, check for salt seasoning and serve.

 

Serve with: Green Salad, Garlic Bre
